Elephant Hill

The picture itself is not close to enough to illustrate the true beauty of this view. The view is a 360 degrees view stretching from Downtown Los Angeles to the Sierra Madre Mountains. The name 'Elephant Hill' comes from the shape created by the trails leading to the summit. From an aerial view, the trails depict an elephant. Not only is this a great viewpoint, but it's a great hiking trail as well! We definitely recommend visiting Elephant Hill over the weekend with your friends or even your dog (if you have one) and go for a nice stroll. The best part about this hike is the accessibility. Differing from our other viewpoints it is closer to Los Angeles than the Pasadena area, offering our readers in the highland park area to enjoy a great viewpoint as well! Also, parking is easy; right in front of the trail head you can find a plethora of parking spots and the neighbors are extremely friendly and festive. Last time we visited Elephant Hill we heard Mexican music comi...

Art Center College of Design

Unless you're an upper-middle-class citizen of the Pasadena area, you probably have never heard of the local art school. However, assuming that people interested in this blog drive cars, it's safe to assume that most people reading this is in fact on the more affluent side of the socio-economic spectrum, thus you are familiar with the Art Center College of Design. Although you may be familiar with the Art Center College of design, most people are not aware that this campus offers a stunning view. Getting here is quite a hassle, however if you drive by the Rose Bowl, and drive up Lida Street, it's hard to miss due to the luminescent "Art Center College of Design" sign. Once on campus, there's a huge parking lot. Park, get out of the car, and walk over towards the large lawn deep inside of the campus. Once you're on the lawn, look out south, and what you'll see will surprise you. This viewpoint looks over all of Pasadena including old town and the Ro...

Monterey Hills Viewpoint

This view is located in the hills of South Pasadena. It's relatively easy to access with a location only minutes from the 110 freeway. From the view, the city of Alhambra is clearly seen. The view is different from many of our other views in a way that the location  seamlessly blends with the community. The scene from this location is vast and is only stopped due to hills in the far distance. The view is a bit difficult to appreciate for extensive periods of time since there is no distinct place to relax and take it all in. The view is seen from the street and beyond that there is a steep hill. The view consists of mostly green trees and a few buildings in the distance. It's a good view due to it's easy to access location. For the elevation, the depth of the view is surprising. 1909 Illinois Dr, South Pasadena, CA 91030
