Ernest E. Debs Regional Park

The View From Debs Park
This viewpoint was actually introduced to me through cross country. I have run through this national park many times for our weekly uphill training, but never had the chance to stop by and enjoy the view.

The Pond
However, this Monday, my partner and I decided to make a quick visit to Ernest E. Debs Regional Park
to see if it's worthy of our blog. We drove down to Los Angeles,  drove up a steep inclining driveway and parked in the parking lot. Then we took a 5-minute uphill hike until we reached the top. To be completely honest, the uphill walk was actually a bit tiring, but once we reached our destination we were both speechless. The view was amazing! Once at the top, the viewpoint overlooks a good amount of Los Angeles and you can even see the silhouette of Downtown Los Angeles's skyscrapers. If you look towards the other direction, South Pasadena and Pasadena are clearly visible. This viewpoint has a variety of views and it's awesome night or day! If that's not enough, this viewpoint has an amazing pond! This pond isn't just a pool of water, it's a legitimate pond with its own ecosystem of algae, fish, and insects. That's not all! There are benches surrounding the pond so if you're looking for a place to sit down and do homework or maybe even just relax, THIS IS THE SPOT.

In conclusion, Ernest E. Debs Regional Park is awesome, and you should all take a visit!

The South Pasadena Sign

As you drive North on the 110 freeway, you may notice a cute sign that clearly reads "SOUTH PASADENA". However, something people usually don't know is that you can actually sit on the sign and overlook the South Pasadena Skate Park! To get to this viewpoint you're going to want to drive down Arroyo Drive until you see a 2 feet tall wall. Once there, park and enjoy the view! This viewpoint has benches and lights so you can even come for a midnight read. If you decide to come here after dark, sitting on the wall and watching as cars zoom by is delightful as cool gusts of wind  flow past you. With that being said, be sure to bring a sweater!  Nothing beats this view in South Pasadena, there's nothing better than sitting above a huge sign representing your city and talking with your friends. 653 Arroyo Drive, South Pasadena, CA 91030, USA

The Batman House

The front of the "Batman House" The Batman house is one of the best views in the Pasadena Area. It's super easy to get to with a location just south of the 210. In this highly affluent area you'll come upon an abandoned mansion. At the house you'll initially see a large gate. Past the gate, there is a long and steep driveway that is pretty eerie at night. At the top of the driveway there are two stairways leading to a foundation to a burnt down mansion. The entire house brings a feeling of paranoia. This mansion was built in the early 20th century and was used in many movies such as Clue, Rocky V, and Batman. However, a few years ago, this mansion located on a 3.3-acre piece of land, was burnt to the floor. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but what we do know is that it's an incredible view. The view of the Batman House is phenomenal. At the highest point of the property you can see all the way to the Sierra Madre mountains. Bet...

Art Center College of Design

Unless you're an upper-middle-class citizen of the Pasadena area, you probably have never heard of the local art school. However, assuming that people interested in this blog drive cars, it's safe to assume that most people reading this is in fact on the more affluent side of the socio-economic spectrum, thus you are familiar with the Art Center College of Design. Although you may be familiar with the Art Center College of design, most people are not aware that this campus offers a stunning view. Getting here is quite a hassle, however if you drive by the Rose Bowl, and drive up Lida Street, it's hard to miss due to the luminescent "Art Center College of Design" sign. Once on campus, there's a huge parking lot. Park, get out of the car, and walk over towards the large lawn deep inside of the campus. Once you're on the lawn, look out south, and what you'll see will surprise you. This viewpoint looks over all of Pasadena including old town and the Ro...
